I had the same problem.

I had an idea last week, and after two hours I had thirty pages of it down-But I was typing so fast and getting over excited that what started as a whimsical story of a nobody travelling to Paris to find an exchange student he fell in love with, quickly turned ovr farcial and Python-esque.

Which isn't bad if it's the image you're trying to convey, but I'm not. I'm trying to write something conventinal (because all my other scripts are weird and 'hard to get')
